We’re always listening when people tell us that they are on the hunt for something.
Especially when it’s something that is obviously a good idea but there just doesn’t seem to be a good version of it anywhere. We are persistently keeping our eyes out and if we’re unable to find it,
we usually end up producing it ourselves.
A long time ago, there was a gap in the market for solid white oak peg rails. You could find them in pine or maple, but they were a bit flimsy and were always a pain to install.
We decided to make our own, and use brass furniture screws so installation was very clear and direct. The beveled edges of the rail made them look a bit more contemporary and using a more luxurious wood really pulled it all together. Like many producers, the pandemic paused a lot of fabrication especially here in Ontario so we’ve made this year a priority to bring back all of our in-house made objects including this peg rail.
