The ingenious swivel joint at the base, combined with an adjustable shade positioned above the bulb, offers great freedom of movement, directing light wherever it’s needed. Look at it once, then try drawing it from memory. The Gira lamp has the simplicity and recognizable profile of a classic. And its story is part of Barcelona’s design history. It was conceived in 1978 by Ferrer, Massana, and Tremoleda, and originally produced by Mobles 114. International recognition soon followed, with exhibitions in museums around the world.
