Mjölk Nostalgia

I don’t know if it has something to do with the reprinting of Mjölk Volume I but we’ve been revisiting the objects and people that have made their way into our DNA and made Mjölk a well known destination.

We’ve put together a collection of works from some of the first artisans we ever exhibited here. For many of them Mjölk was their first exhibition in North America. These are the artists for whom we would love to maintain a presence in the showroom but their own popularity keeps

their works from returning for some years. We look to remedy that now with some choice pieces by some of our favourite artisans back on display.

The poetic f,l,o,w,e,r,s ruler by Studio Note (Norihiko Terayama) is now back available along side the “Awaglass” hourglass which uses soap bubbles instead of sand.

The purpose of each is to subvert typical methods of measurement. The Awaglass doesn’t actually have a pre-set time, it instead makes you forget about time while you admire the movement and change from liquid to bubbles.

The work is just incredible and along with specially made wood fired vases and vessels we will be exhibiting two tables made in collaboration between Ema and Thom Fougere.
