Each part of the teapot is carefully made by hand on the potter's wheel. It is kilned using Tokoname soil, without any glaze, allowing tea to naturally stain the surface.

This teapot is manufactured by Mr. Tatsuo Umehara. He is the third generation in the Hokuryu Kiln for the Tokoname-ware.


We recommend hand washing, without any use of detergent, so as to avoid any discolouration in the rich black texture of the pot.
