Paper wasps' nest artwork by Quebec artist Renaud Sauvé. Each piece is carefully assembled by Sauvé by peeling small sections off a wasp nest and then applying them to the canvas to create a new composition inspired by the nests organic patterns.

Renaud Sauvé was born in Montreal, Quebec, where he has lived and practised for many years. With an academic background in ceramics and philosophy, and a stint as prop master with Cirque du Soleil, he started his studio Atelier des Cent-ans in 2010. Based out of Irlande, Quebec, Renaud creates fine ceramics made of porcelain. In 2014 he received a grant from the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec and held his first solo exhibition at Mjölk. He has since shown his work in Quebec and Toronto.

The walnut frame is made by Canadian woodworker Gilbert Garcia.
