A particularly interesting carved bear from Northern Japan. This bear is known as the "barking bear" as its mouth is open as if giving a warning roar. There are a few styles of these bears including version that a fish in the bears mouth which is also pleasing but more common.

This bear has small black glass eyes that add a bit to the magic of the sculpture.
