Made To Order Furniture
Special Order and Made-to-order items require a minimum 50% paid deposit upon ordering.
There is a 24-hour grace period where the buyer can cancel the order less a 3% processing fee. After 24 hours the deposit is non-refundable.
All orders placed online require payment in full.
Typical lead time for made to order pieces is 12-14 weeks which includes production time and shipping to Toronto. Please ask your sales representative for lead times for specific items.
Mjölk is not responsible for any delays in production, shipment or customs. Please remember that these items are shipping from far away, and are mostly sent via sea, which takes approximately one month, on top of production time.
Variations - Upholstered items and carpets are produced in different dye cycles, which means the same sofa in the same upholstery can be visually different. Materials such as wood or concrete may have natural inconsistencies in grain or pattern. Mjölk is not responsible for textile and natural variations.
Delivery of Furniture
Furniture ordered via the website will be subject to delivery fees, as well as duties and taxes if you are outside of Canada. A sales representative will follow up with a customized quote (our website cannot provide shipping quotes at this time). Basic delivery is curb side. If you require alternative forms of delivery, please contact your sales representative to discuss options and pricing. White glove service, which includes removal of packaging and assembly is an option. We also offer a more affordable service which includes delivery of furniture to desired location inside home/office, but no removal of packaging or assembly.
When custom furniture arrives at the Mjölk showroom, the customer has a responsibility to arrange delivery of the item within 7 days of arrival. A 5% holding fee will be applied for items not picked up after 7 days and for every week thereafter until item is picked-up. Mjölk is not responsible for any damages that occur after the initial 7 days. Holding fees must be collected before scheduling delivery.
Damaged furniture must be notified within 24 hr of receiving. We are not liable for damages after 24 hours. Images of all packaging and damaged goods must be submitted for a claim. It is the customer's responsibility to check goods upon arrival. If customer is storing goods and not opening them immediately, all claims are void and Mjölk is not responsible.
When you order several items, some may be available sooner than others. You can call to arrange pick up or delivery of partial orders, but additional delivery fees will apply.
When picking up product from our store, our team will be happy to help you load smaller items into your vehicle as best we can but we recommend having delivery for large scale items. You are responsible for securing it for safe delivery to your home. If choosing to pick up, please remember you will be responsible for assembly of all product.
