The GT4 model was originally designed, in 1983, for a famous nightclub in Barcelona in the eighties, the Bar Sísísí. At a time when international tastes were fascinated by metal tube lamps with cold light halogen bulbs, Gabriel Ordeig Cole, co-founder of Santa & Cole, wanted to defend warmth through the use of stitched card stock. This aesthetic defied the dominant taste of the moment, supporting a more artisan and close modernity.
