Introducing Basket Area Rugs

Beautiful new rugs are in the showroom! We are pleased to now carry Thom Fougere’s latest collaboration with Montréal based rug company Mark Krebs. Handwoven in Northern India from a blend of New Zealand wool, the Basket Rug Collection explores how nuance can emerge from quiet complexity. The name refers to the simple basket weave structure, a humble yet utilitarian design.

Up close, flecks of colour surface: ultramarine, cadmium red, chrome yellow. Subtle in distribution but vivid in detail, like sediment in stone. These tonal shifts animate the wool, giving each rug a sense of quiet depth.

The collection is offered in two tones:
Truffle | a dark, earthy brown threaded with accents of blue, red, and yellow.
Shell | a soft, warm neutral with shared flecking.

A few months ago we featured Thom Fougere’s work on the Pine Island Cottage project with Bureau Tempo. We are excited to now highlight that the beautiful rug photographed in the main living space is the Basket Area Rug in Truffle!
