Japanese Oroshigane Copper Grater
This copper and aluminum oroshigane grater was traditionally used for grating daikon radish or preparing wasabi, but works beautifully with garlic, ginger, and citrus.
This grater differs from western style versions. The plate is covered in many small prongs with no actual perforation in the metal surface, this produces a much finer grated paste.
