Chabako Tea Box by Masanobu Ando
A very special “Chabako” also known as a Tea Ceremony travel box. Put together by Masanobu Ando utilizing some of the best contemporary craft artisans in Japan.
The box is inspired by Shaker boxes, made in white oak with copper tacks by Kobayashi Katsuhisa.
The tea bowl is made by Masanobu Ando
The tea scoop is made from silver by Mami Hasegawa
There is also a bamboo whisk with a cedar wood sleeve
a brass cloth holder by Mami Hasegawa
a Natsume for powdered green tea
Also special silk and linen cloth wraps for every individual item including the box itself made by textile artist Akiko Ando.
