Masanobu Ando is a ceramicist and Tea Master based in Tajimi City. Masanobu Ando graduated from Musashina Art University under their Sculpture program. His focus shifted from conceptual art to a commitment to the Tea Ceremony and creating Tea Ceremony utensils as well as objects of everyday use. Masanobu Ando creates his own unique glazes using natural materials that begin to oxidize and change with age and use. These glazes can resemble different materials like silver, iron, or rust.
